For some reason, I got up at 5 a.m. on a Sunday… my body just said “Hey, time to get up!” Go figure!

So today we’re doing our Family Christmas where we decorate construction paper hearts for Jesus, wrap them, and lay themĀ  at our manger. This should be fun.

Tomorrow My mom and 11 year-old brother are coming into town. Hadessah’s gonna flip!

On Christmas Kevin’s parents and oldest brother will be joining us as well. I’m making the ENTIRE meal. I have never attempted something of this grand of proportions… please God don’t let me screw it up!

The rest of the week, Kevin has to work 12+ hour days to make up for taking Christmas off and for leaving work early yesterday to avoid the blizzard that wasn’t near as bad as they were saying it was going to be.

That’s my week. I’m so excited!

We went Christmas dinner shopping Friday since Kevin was off. I took Hadessah and Kevino took Kiah. Des is such a joy! She was so happy to be shopping with Mommy. Everyone at Walmart looked weary, frustrated, and ready to leave. Yet, here’s Hadessah. Smiling and clapping. “Yeah Cranberries! Yeah!” Whatever I gave her to throw in the back of the cart caused such elation. Walnuts! Wow! Amazing! I’m so happy for Walnuts!

I thought this was hilarious. I gave her a tub of sour cream to put in the back and she started to try and take the lid off. I said “No honey. Don’t open it.” She said “Oh okay. I wait until Christmas.” Ha! She’s heard that a lot.. Don’t open that. You have to wait until Christmas.

In other news: Hezekiah took 4 steps yesterday… sideways! He always wants to walk sideways. I guess he’s still in cruising mode.

Have a wonderful Christmas Eve Eve!
